Air shutter screens are responsible for providing the correct air/gas mixture ratio to ensure that your burners produce strong, even flames. The air shutters screens on your burner tubes come factory set and do not need to be adjusted.
We do recommend occasionally cleaning the outside of your air shutters screens with a soft bristled brush, such as an old toothbrush, or the special brush found in our Weber Cleaning Supplies. Applying some water to the brush can make it more effective.
To clean the air shutters screens, locate the ends of the burners on the underside of the control panel where they meet the valves. Depending on the exact model you own, the control panel may need to be removed to access the air shutters. Instructions for removing the control panel can be found in the owner's manual for your model grill.
