To connect to your Weber pellet, follow these steps:
Note: Weber recommends that your smart device be running the latest version of its operating system before attempting to connect your Weber pellet grill.
1. Plug in grill. Weber SmokeFire Only: Turn on the grill’s power supply switch located under the hopper.
2. From your smart device, download the Weber Connect app from the App Store on Apple devices, or the Play Store on all Android devices.
3. Verify that your smart device has Bluetooth® turned on.
4. Open the Weber Connect app. Under "Grills", select "Connect grill or device" card. A screen showing a carousel of nearby, active Weber Connect devices appears.
5. If the first Weber Connect device isn't your Weber pellet grill, swipe left or right on the carousel to locate it.
6. Tap the Connect button. Within a few seconds, the display on the Weber pellet grill should show a message saying that your phone or tablet would like to pair.
7. Click the knob on the Weber pellet grill to confirm pairing. The Weber Connect app should show a message indicating success.
8. Follow prompts to connect to your home Wi-Fi network.
Note: In order to successfully connect your smart device to your grill via a local Wi-Fi network, your grill must be within range of your Wi-Fi router. If your attempts to connect have been unsuccessful, try moving the grill within range of the Wi-Fi router or adding a signal extender for a stronger signal. Be sure to locate the grill at least two feet away from any combustible materials and flammable liquids.
9. Grill will automatically check for software updates. If an update is available, it will download. It will take anywhere from 5-15 min for the software to download and update. For faster updates, Weber recommends updating over Wi-Fi rather than Bluetooth. Please keep your phone near your grill while the update is completing.
10. Once the update is downloaded, your grill will need to restart. This will happen automatically when your grill goes to sleep. You may also choose to unplug and plug your grill back in. Bluetooth users will see a “Restart” button on the bottom of their screen. Press to restart.
11. Grill software is successfully updated.
