- Hand Wash: Hand wash the griddle with mild dishwashing liquid, rinse, and dry completely.
- Dry Thoroughly: Using several paper towels, wipe and dry the griddle surface, directing any excess grease, oil, and food debris into the hole in the griddle.

- Apply Baking Soda Paste: Combine three parts baking soda with one part water to form a paste. Apply generously to the griddle and leave for a few hours or overnight.
- Scrub and Rinse: Add more baking soda and scrub with a non-abrasive nylon brush or sponge. Rinse clean and dry.
- Vinegar for Stubborn Residue: For extra stubborn residue, pour vinegar over the paste just before cleaning. Once the fizzing reaction dies down, continue to scrub and rinse.

Cleaning Stainless Steel Surfaces:
- Use Non-Toxic Cleaner: Clean stainless steel using a non-toxic, non-abrasive stainless-steel cleaner or polish designed for use on outdoor products and barbecues. Use a microfiber cloth to clean in the direction of the grain of the stainless steel.
Cleaning Painted, Porcelain-Enamelled Surfaces and Plastic Components:
- Warm Soapy Water: Clean painted, porcelain-enamelled, and plastic components with warm soapy water, and paper towels or cloth. After wiping down the surfaces, rinse and dry thoroughly.
Harsh Environments:
- Frequent Cleaning: If your barbecue is subject to a particularly harsh environment, clean the outside more often. Acid rain, pool chemicals, and salt water can cause surface rusting to appear.
- Weekly Stainless-Steel Cleaner: Apply a stainless steel cleaner weekly to prevent surface rust.
