This article covers which accessories fit Weber Genesis gas barbecues sold in the UK and Ireland. If you are not sure which system your barbecue uses, read the article on Weber CRAFTED and the Gourmet BBQ System first.

 

The short version

• Round GBS grillware fits every Genesis generation from before 2016 through to the current 2026 range.
• A CRAFTED frame kit is available for Genesis II from 2016 onwards. It is not only for new barbecues.
• Genesis uses its own frame kit. It is a different part from the Spirit kit and the two are not interchangeable.
• Round GBS grillware also fits inside a CRAFTED frame, so adding a frame does not make your existing GBS accessories redundant.
• Weber Works fits every Genesis 2025 and later model. Genesis takes the full range, which is not the case on every Weber barbecue.

 

Two things both called CRAFTED

This causes more confusion than anything else on this page, so it is worth thirty seconds.

• CRAFTED grates are cooking grates. They replace the grates your barbecue came with.
• CRAFTED grillware is the cookware, the sear grate, glazed pizza stone, griddle and grilling basket, which sits on a CRAFTED frame kit.

They are different products with different part numbers. If a chart seems to contradict another chart, this is usually why.

Weber Works on Genesis

Weber Works is the modular storage and prep system that attaches to your barbecue. It comes in three families.

Every Genesis 2025 and later model takes the full snap-on range and the full drop-in range. There are no exceptions within the generation, which is not true of every Weber barbecue.

Genesis 2025, 300w and 400w: E-315w, E-325w, E-415w, E-335w, E-425w, E-435w, EP-335w, SP-335w, EP-435w, SP-435w, E-330WR Stealth.

Genesis 2026, 300w and 400w: EX-325W, EX-425W, EPX-335W, EPX-435W.

 

Rotisserie

The maximum load for a rotisserie on a stand-up Genesis is 9 kg.

If your rotisserie motor does not line up when you load the spit on a newer Genesis, slide the motor upward as you load, or tilt the spit slightly to connect it. The spit sits higher than on Genesis II. This is a known difference between the generations and it is not a fault with your rotisserie or your barbecue.

 

Covers

Cover sizing changed between Genesis generations, so an older Genesis cover will usually not fit a newer one. Use the compatibility checker rather than reordering the part number you bought last time.

 

Weber Connect

Weber Connect is built into Genesis models with EX, SX, EPX or SPX in the name. If your Genesis does not have it built in, you can add it with the Weber smart hub accessory.

Probe generations changed. If you have an older probe from a previous Weber smart product, it will not necessarily work with a current Genesis. Check before buying.

 

How to check what fits, in three steps

1. Find your serial number. It is on the data label on your barbecue. See the article on finding your serial number if you are not sure where to look.
2. Use the Weber compatibility checker for your country, or the parts and accessories pages, and search using your model or serial number.
3. If the checker does not resolve your model, or you get no results, contact us. Send one clear photo of the serial label and one wide photo of the whole barbecue and we will confirm exactly what fits.

Do not buy on the basis that an accessory looks like it should fit. Cooking grate dimensions, frame widths and cookbox sizes changed between generations, and an accessory from an earlier Genesis will often not fit a later one.

A note on part numbers

The part numbers in this article are the numbers used in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The same accessory can carry a different number in other regions, so always check the part number for your own country rather than one quoted on an overseas site or forum.
