When operating the Weber Spirit grill, it is important to use heat-resistant barbecue mitts or gloves to protect your hands from burns. The Owner's Manual specifies the following requirements for gloves:
Glove Requirements
- Heat Resistance: The gloves should conform to EN 407, with a Contact Heat rating of level 2 or greater.
- This ensures the gloves can withstand high temperatures safely while handling hot grill components.
When to Use Gloves
- During Operation: When handling hot cooking grates, FLAVORIZER BARS, or other heated components.
- When replacing the LPG Cylinder: If replacing the cylinder during a cooking session, the cook box and grease management system will be hot.
- When Cleaning: To protect your hands from rough surfaces, such as FLAVORIZER BARS, and hot grease during cleaning.
Additional Tips
- Avoid using gloves that are not heat-resistant, as they may not provide adequate protection.
Ensure the gloves fit well and allow for a secure grip on tools and grill components.
