Weber barbecues are covered by a voluntary manufacturer warranty in addition to your statutory rights. This article explains how to submit a warranty claim, what you need to prepare, and what happens after you submit.
Before You Submit a Claim
- Try the relevant troubleshooting steps first. Many issues (ignition, low heat, uneven flames) are resolved by cleaning or basic maintenance and do not require a parts claim. See the troubleshooting article for your barbecue model.
- Check that your issue is covered. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear and tear, paint fading or discolouration, damage from misuse, lack of maintenance, salt air or chlorine exposure, pest damage, use of non-genuine parts, or unauthorised modifications (including gas conversions).
-
Confirm your warranty period. Coverage varies by product family and component. Check the warranty schedule for your model on weber.com (Link to American page) or in your Owner’s Manual.
What You Will Need
- The serial number of your barbecue (see "Where to find your serial number" below).
- Your model name or number.
- Proof of purchase: receipt, invoice, or another valid document showing the purchase date.
- Clear photos of the fault - take at least one wide shot of the barbecue and one close-up of the affected part.
Tip: if you registered your barbecue on weber.com (Be sure to register for the country the grill is located), your details are already on file and your claim will be processed faster. Registration is recommended but not required for warranty coverage.
How to Submit Your Claim
- Go to the Weber claims form for your country, located at the bottom of this article.
- Describe the fault and when it first appeared.
- Enter your serial number and model.
- Upload your proof of purchase and photos of the fault.
- Include your address & contact number for shipping parts/delivery tracking
- Submit the form. You will receive a confirmation email with a reference number.
What Happens Next
- Weber Customer Service reviews your claim and may ask follow-up questions or request additional photos.
- If the part is covered, Weber will repair or replace it. Weber may request the return of the defective part for inspection.
- If repair or replacement of the part is not possible, Weber may replace the barbecue with one of equal or greater value.
Where to Find Your Serial Number
The serial number location depends on your barbecue family - see the article "Where to Find Your Weber Serial Number and Model Number" for label locations with photos.
Your Statutory Rights
Irrespective of Weber’s voluntary warranty, EU statutory warranty regulations provide coverage for two years from the date of purchase, which is the responsibility of the retailer who sold you the product. Weber’s voluntary warranty does not limit these statutory rights in any way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the warranty transferable?
No. The warranty extends only to the original purchaser (or the recipient, for gifts).
Do I need to register my barbecue for the warranty to apply?
No, but registration speeds up claim handling because your product details are already on file. Keep your proof of purchase either way.
Does using third-party parts void my warranty?
Installing non-genuine parts or making unauthorised modifications (including gas conversions) voids the warranty for affected components.
